The vision of the Patliputra Institute of Social Science Research (PISSR) is centered on the principle of SARVODYA, which translates to the upliftment of all. We strive to advance research in social sciences with a special focus on addressing the unique challenges of the Hindi heartland. As the Best Social Science Research Centre in Delhi, our vision is to foster academic excellence and contribute to the development of thoughtful, impactful solutions that promote societal growth and inclusivity.
We are committed to becoming a leader in social science research by actively collaborating with educational institutions, governmental bodies, and global research organizations. Research in Social Sciences
To research in social sciences, with special emphasis on the problems of the Hindi heartland and Bihar.
Academic and Professional Guidance
To provide academic and professional guidance to agencies, institutions, and personnel engaged in research in social sciences.
Consultancy Services
To offer, on request, consultancy services to the Government of India, the Government of Bihar, and other State Governments and Union Territory Administrations, universities, colleges, and other educational institutions.
Collaboration with Agencies
To collaborate with other agencies, institutions, and organizations, including universities, colleges, management institutes, and other institutes in India and abroad, in such manner as may be necessary for the promotion of the objective of the Centre.
Fellowships and Scholarships
To offer fellowships and scholarships as and when applicable in furtherance of research in social sciences.
Advanced Training Programs
To provide programs of advanced training to teachers in universities and colleges with a view to improving the quality of teaching and research in social sciences.
Working Relations with Universities and Colleges
To develop close working relations in teaching and research in social sciences with universities and colleges, especially with those in the Hindi heartland region and in Bihar.
Publications
To prepare, print, and publish papers, periodicals, and books in furtherance of the objectives of the Centre and the promotion of social science research.
Endowments and Donations
To secure and accept endowments, grants-in-aid, donations, or gifts on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
